My Travel Makeup Bag

My travel makeup bags are always changing, currently this is what I am working with! Ever since I purchased the Muji Vanity Makeup Box (in size 'small') I've really enjoyed using it for my travels whether it is for a road trip, small holiday or the frequent sleep overs at a friends place (Lisa, I'm looking at you). So far out of all the makeup cases I've used in the past this one definitely tops it off. It is so reliable, sturdy material and fits the perfect amount of products I need to carry with me. If there is any room left I also like to carry a few skincare products in there as well, otherwise I will just carry my skincare in a separate case. The case has a section at the top to house some makeup brushes but some of my brushes have different sized handles and they tend to fall out of the sleeves so I don't put anything in there. When it comes to makeup and tools, I like to take along with me products that are multipurpose and cover all I need to create a simple look.

There is one product I have to give a special and individual mention to because of its multipurpose and sleek packaging. I've gravitated to this beauty ever since I had purchased it and noticed it really comes in handy for so many purposes. The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit palette. This palette leaves you speechless when it comes to its beauty, it contains everything you need from setting powders, highlight, blush and bronzer all in a convenient travel friendly size. And not to mention the giant mirror it has as well, which is perfect for doing your makeup. I highly recommend this palette and keep in mind it is limited edition so get your hands on it before its all gone. Or, maybe it will end up being permanent since a few of their so called limited editions ended up being permanent after a while.

I know the price is quite questionable ($117 AUD), especially for the size of each pan (compared to the previous palettes) given a lot of people were expecting it to be a lot more bigger. However, I find it is a decent amount of product if you are looking for an all in one palette to take a long with you on your travels. It is also great if you haven't tried any of the Ambient powders and were interested in trialling out a few before investing in the full sizes. I find for myself I use every powder/shade that is in this palette and they all work perfectly for my complexion. The stand out of the palette for myself is the bronzer in Luminous Bronze Light - it is stunning and perhaps one day I will have to invest in the full size.
